| The Duquesa de Cardona
is a sixteenth century hotel located in the centre of Barcelona in the
Gothic Quarter, only 100 meters from the cafes of Las Ramblas.
The 44 air-conditioned guestrooms
have contemporary décor in soft neutral colours with brown leather
headboards, dark wooden furnishings, upholstered chairs and abstract oil
paintings. All guestrooms have climate control, minibars, flat screen televisions
with satellite and video channels, safes, high speed internet connections
and bathrooms with designer toiletries, bidets, plush bathrobes, slippers,

Duquesa guests can sample Catalan and international dishes and wines in
an intimate dining room with original 1850s features. The room has columns
and arched high ceilings, long windows and tiled floors with contemporary
décor and furnishings in warm colours. During the day, guests can
swim in the outdoor pool on the roof terrace, or simply sunbathe with a
drink from the roof terrace bar.

hotel. An airport shuttle to Placa Catalunya is available, where transfers
to the metro can be found. The hotel's nearest metro station is Drassanes,
on the green line, two stops from Placa Catalunya.
