thoroughfare between the Plaza Catalunya and the Diagonal - the road that
divides Barcelona in half. The Rambla is about a 10 minute walk along this
very pleasant boulevard, and buses and taxis are in easy reach. This
is a very affluent area of central Barcelona with an array of designer
shops, bars and cafes.

in the area include Gaudi's Casa Milá and Casa Battló, and
you are about 15 minutes from the Gothic area which is dotted with restaurants
and boasts the Cathedral as its centrepiece. Walking in the opposite direction
for about 20 minutes will bring you to Gaudi's masterpiece: the Sagrada
Familia, his famous unfinished cathedral.
